I reside in Hyannis, Nebraska with my husband Jon and our two daughters.

My dad was a historian and curator and I grew up on historic sites in Nebraska and North Dakota.  My family was active in living history and I worked for several years in the tourism industry.   I love to travel and learn about places and cultures.

I have an Associates of Science Degree from Northwest College, Powell, Wyoming, Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education, Dickinson State University, Dickinson, ND, Master of Arts Degree in Special Education and Behavior Interventionist endorsement from University of Nebraska at Kearney.

When I started my teaching career I chose to teach in rural  Nebraska. After teaching for 8 years  rural schools, as a K-8 instructor, I became the special education teacher.   I later worked for ESU 16 as a behavior consultant.

I spends much of my time teaching my daughters how to ride and taking them to horse events.  I also enjoy cooking, gardening, sewing, leather crafting, collecting and making Christmas villages, and attending church with my family.
