Happy Birthday Lane!

Thank you to the 6th grade class and Mrs. Walz for making play-doh and play-doh mats for the kindergarten class! We have had so much fun with it already!

A reminder to join us tonight at the Lariat for the NHS Free-Will Donation Soup Supper from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and the One Act Public Performance at 7:00 p.m. We hope to see you there!

This past weekend was the annual service trip for the NHS students! This year they once again gave their time to the Open Door Mission. This amazing group of kids helped prepare 1000 bags that will soon be filled with sandwiches that will be distributed to those in need. Then they served as lunchtime volunteers. It was the best weekend of service and making memories!

Last week this great group attended the Sportsmanship & Leadership Summit in Alliance. During they day they listed to wonderful speakers including Rob Miller from Proactive Coaching talking about team covenants, Diane Shuck, Athletic Director at Douglas county HS, CO about building team spirit and sportsmanship, and Kevin Kush, known for teaching and coaching at Boys Town.

Last reminder: If you are going to sign up for the school's Thanksgiving lunch on November 27th you need to call the elementary office by noon on November 25th. If you call in the day of there is a high chance we will not be able to serve you! Thank you!!!

The Chemistry 1 students baked molasses cookies today after utilizing their knowledge of moles and dimensional analysis to convert a recipe to meaningful units. All three batches of cookies were delicious!

Although our Play Production team did not come home with a plaque, Sydnee Cheever, Mia Flores-Green, Jaylon Forsen, Tate Kvanvig, and Hope Miller were all recipients of outstanding actor awards! We are excited to use the feedback to grow and better our piece! Our next performance will be the public performance following the NHS Soup Supper on Tuesday, November 26. Then, districts in Hyannis! We hope to see you all soon!

Happy Birthday Luke!

The 2nd-grade students used the writing process to plan, draft, edit, and publish a personal narrative.

The 3rd grade tried to save some turkeys this Thanksgiving season by creating some awesome disguises. "Turkey Trump" by Grady Phipps took the top place in the voter pool of Mullen Elementary School. Second place went to "Cocoa the Turkey" by Tatum Deibler and 3rd place went to "Pirate Turkey" by Eli Barnes.

Dear Parents,
We are currently experiencing an issue with the Viaero Cell Network. If you attempt to call the school and are redirected to the automated answering system, please use an alternative method to contact us. You can reach us by email at office@mullenpublicschools.org or by calling the office staff directly.
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Just a reminder: FCCLA Fruit orders are due tomorrow, November 19th!

Due to the likelihood of a high number of people eating the School's Thanksgiving Dinner on November 27th we are asking people to call the school or let the lunchroom know on or before Monday November 25th if you will be eating on the 27th. We are trying to let our lunch staff have an idea of how much food to prepare.
