Update on some big changes at Mullen High School. Over the holiday break, we were able to have new main doors installed at the high school on the west side of the building and we have updated the security system. Mullen High School is now locked down, which is exciting news for the safety of our school. With these changes, it has created some new protocols for entering the building. From now on, all none key holders/none staff members will be required to buzz into the school, sign in, grab a visitor badge, and sign out when you leave. This is the protocol that both Mullen High School and Mullen Elementary will follow as it meets the requirements set forth by the Nebraska Department of Education. With the updates to the security entry system, this has created a change in all cardholders status as it makes the old white key cards obsolete. THE WHITE KEY CARDS WILL NO LONGER WORK. If you have a gym/weight room membership, you will be required to come to the high school office to get your new key faub from Mr. Kuncl, Mr. Kvanvig or Pam Ginkens. The process does not take very long and if you call ahead, we will be able to have it completed when you arrive. Thank you for your flexibility while we make these updates for the safety of our school.
