Basketball update- Due to some illness, Arthur County has contacted us and canceled both JV games. We will move forward with the varsity games with Girls basketball starting at 5:00 PM MST at the Hilltop Gym.

On Monday, an interview team met and interviewed two candidates for the open elementary principal position. We offered the contract to Mr. Brett Mauler and he accepted. Mr. Mauler is originally from Sargent, Nebraska and currently teaches middle school social science and technology at York Middle school where he teaches 6-8 grade students and serves at the Varsity Wrestling coach at York High School. Mr. Mauler brings his energy, enthusiasm, and passion for education and educational leadership to Mullen Elementary. His wife, Shelby, is a speech and language pathologist. Both Mr. and Mrs. Mauler appear more than excited to be Broncos. Mr. Mauler will start August 1, 2022.

With the scheduled forecast of frigid temperatures and wind chill for the morning, Mullen Public Schools will not be in session on Thursday January 6, 2022. All certified staff will be required to report at 10:00 am with the scheduled in-service being held at 1:00 PM. Coaches will be allowed to have non mandatory afternoon workouts, but must be finished by 5:00 PM. We look forward to seeing everyone on Friday January 7.

The Mullen Lady Broncos defeat Dundy County Stratton 50 to 25 to move into the championship of the Cambridge holiday tournament. Game will start at 12:00 PM noon mountain time.
The Mullen Bronco boys defeat Dundy County Stratton 49-48 in a nail biter to move into the championship of the Cambridge holiday tournament. Game will start at 1:45 PM noon mountain time.

The juniors created Christmas trees while learning about circuits and soldering techniques.
Mr. Taylor and Mr. Kvanvig participated in a catapult engineering challenge with the juniors during Earth Science this week. The students were victorious!
Yesterday December 21, the 4th and 5th grade students sang Christmas songs and delivered 16 gift bags and colored pictures to the residents of the Pioneer Memorial Nursing Home. Sheriff Wiens picked up the food pantry donations to deliver to our local food pantry in Mullen. Thank you to all parents for all of the generous donations that made this possible!! A special thanks to Ms. McDowell and Mrs. Rice for organizing this event.
