On Tuesday April 20, 2021 the Nebraska Track and Field Festival will be held in Papillion, Nebraska. This is Nebraska's only Statewide All-Class Meet. The meet is a grassroots creation by track and field coaches to provide a special, meaningful track and field experience to all of Nebraska's best. Every school in Nebraska was invited to participate, compete, and enjoy the very best of Nebraska high school track and field. Only selected athletes were accepted entries based off of their times.
Congrats to the following Mullen Athletes who have been accepted to compete: Samantha Moore in the 100 & 300 Hurdles, Brooke McCully in the 1600 Meter Run, Jaden Emerson in the 200 Meter Dash, Trevor Kuncl in the 1600 & 3200 Meter Runs, and Clayton Moore in the 110 & 300 Meter Hurdles. Due to snow and weather conditions, the high school track meet scheduled for tomorrow Friday April 16 in Bertrand has been postponed. Bertrand is looking at rescheduling but we are waiting on logistics to see if Mullen will be able to attend. Thank you
After collaboration with the National Weather Service out of North Platte on the current Winter Storm Warning in effect for our district, we have decided to error on the side of caution. Mullen Public Schools will not be in session on Friday April 16th due to heavy snow forecasted overnight and throughout the morning. This along with the impact of the forecasted slick roads during the morning commute helped make this decision. Stay safe and have a great weekend. We look forward to seeing everyone on Monday.

Special THANK YOU to Mrs. Hardin and Students for putting on a science fair for the 2nd and 3rd grade students. We had a blast!
The 2nd grade students had an ice cream party! After making a graph to find their favorite flavor they then made observations about the graph before being able to enjoy a bowl of their favorite ice cream.
Custer Power has scheduled a two hour power outage for the Village of Mullen from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. We have been told by the village that Custer Power along with the Village of Mullen are trying to fix a few "troublesome" spots here in the village of Mullen.
To try to avoid any issues that we may have with the school setting as power is essential for planning purposes, the Mullen Public Schools will have a 10:00 AM late start on Wednesday April 14, 2021.
We will send out a reminder on Tuesday April 13, 2021 so everyone should be aware.
Another day, another aventura with 7th grade Spanish. 7th graders went down to the grade school to read books en Español. The 5th graders learned quite a bit!
