Wrestling Parent Meeting Tonight @6:00 p.m.
District One Act Information:
Location: Hyannis
Time: Mullen will perform at 3:00 p.m.
Information:
Our friend, Crazy Covid, has Inspired the need for changes in the normal Play Production District Contest. So please read throughly.
You can unload your sets on the east side of the high school at the glass doors with the bench beside it. Watch for the signs. Sets will be placed in the entryway for the school on deck until the time of your performance. After the play schedule before you is done loading, you may move your trailer and/or bus to the west side to the glass doors. These doors are located just outside the west door of the Lecture Hall. When your play is completed, please load your set into your bus/trailer as soon as possible. We will need to sanitize the stage between each play.
We are designating two classrooms as “green rooms”. Each school will be assigned to a room to prepare for your performance. We ask that you keep the facilities as clean as possible.
Audience will consist of those coming for the current performance only. No one is allowed to watch another school's performance. Fans will be allowed to watch their school performance and they are then asked to leave after conclusion of the one act. Fans will need ot be wearing a mask. (Cousin Covid)
Hyannis High School has a NO HATS policy in our building and we ask that your students follow this rule. Our administration has asked that you monitor your students and that your students fully cooperate if directions are given by another adult. Masks are highly recommended.
General lighting of white lights will be provided in four areas: Stage left and right, Center Upstage and Center Downstage. You can dim, flash and separate lighting with the four areas. Any special lighting will be limited to the time allotted for your play preparation. Please do not ask to set up lighting until the play proceeding is removing their set.
Our sound system is deceased. I do have a speaker with bluetooth that we are using for our play, all are welcomed to use it. Attached you will find a diagram of our stage.
There will be no hospitality room (again Cousin Covid).
The entry fee for the district will be assessed after the contest has been completed and each school will be sent a bill.
If you have any questions at all, please call me at 308-458-2493 my home phone and my cell is 308-458-8250 or you may contact Tiffany Rice at 308-458-8250.
I hope I have covered everything. Please email me with any questions, comments or concerns. Most of the time I can deal with anything before the meet...the day of proves to be a little more difficult. This is our competition not just mine so let your voice be heard!!!!!
I am sure that the District D2-6 Play Production contest will be a great artistic display and we are looking forward to the opportunity to make this a great experience for all students.
Sincerely,
Jeanne Gentry and Tiffany Rice
Contest Directors
