The 2025 ULNRD field day in Thedford was great. The 8th graders learned about soils, wildlife, water, forestry, and range management practices. This is such an educational and fun day!

The first-grade students learned about the characteristics of animal offspring and how they can be grouped with their parents. As part of their learning, they did an activity where they explored the traits they might inherit from one of their parents. They created their parent on a piece of paper with colors, yarn, and pom-poms.

Reminder to join us for the Bronco Bash tonight, starting with the Elementary Open House at 3:15 p.m. followed by the High School Open House at 4:00 p.m. with a walk through bell schedule. Kris will be in the high school office if you want to take care of student fees or have any questions. NHS will have a free-will donation supper from 5:00-6:00 p.m. Volleyball will scrimmage at 5:30 p.m. and the football team invites you to practice. We will have our parent-coaches meetings at 6:00 p.m. We highly encourage everyone to stay and listen to our guest speaker Darin Boysen with the Nebraska Coaches Association at 6:30 p.m.

Notice is hereby given that the Mullen Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Monday, August 25, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the high school library. This meeting will be a budget workshop for the board to review the preliminary 2025-2026 budget. Upon advertisement, an agenda will be available for public inspection in the Superintendent’s office during regular office hours and on the SPARQ meeting website.
