Our 2nd and 3rd graders had a blast at a science fair hosted by Mrs. Hardin and her Chemistry II students!

Students watched exciting experiments such as flaming gummy bears, an egg in a bottle, and a crushed can demonstrating atmospheric pressure. One of the highlights was turning orange juice into strawberry fizz. They even got to make their own bouncy balls!

Thank you to Mrs. Hardin and her students for creating such a fun and engaging learning experience!

Hands-on learning at its best! 🎣 The senior students in Standards Science wrapped up an exciting project, taking home the fishing poles they built themselves through the Mud Hole Education program. From start to finish, students learned the process of building a functional fishing rod while applying real-world science skills. This hands-on experience encourages problem-solving, craftsmanship, and pride in creating something of their own, while also inspiring time outdoors and a potential lifelong love of fishing. Thanks to the generous support of donors to our science department, each student was able to take their finished rod home at no cost.💙

This week's recipient of the Smiles and Stems bouquet was Ms. CeCe Coons. The flowers were grown by the botany students in the greenhouse. We hope they made her day a little brighter!

Our NHS students had a great time helping with this year's Easter Egg hunts! It's one of our favorite activities, and we are so proud of the way they give back to our community each year. Wishing everyone a Happy Easter from the National Honor Society!
