The next regular meeting of the Mullen Board of Education will be Monday, May 12, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. in the high school library. Upon advertisement, a draft of the agenda will be available for public inspection on the school website, the NASB Sparq website, and by request to the Superintendent’s office during regular office hours.
Just a reminder our K-6 Elementary Field Day is tomorrow (May 8th)! The weather is looking exceptional for us!

On May 12, 2025 at 9:00 AM, a meeting conducted by Mullen Public Schools will take place at the Superintendent’s office at the 6-12 building in Mullen, Nebraska. The purpose of the meeting will be to provide an opportunity for parents and representatives of nonpublic schools to participate in the development of a plan for providing special education services to children with disabilities who attend nonpublic schools and home schools which are within the Mullen Public Schools district for the 2025-26 school year. Parents of a home-schooled child or a child attending a nonpublic school who has been or may be identified with a disability and attend a nonpublic school within the boundaries of Mullen Public Schools, are urged to attend. The second grade students had a blast on their field trip to North Platte today! They visited The Fox Theater with Lou, enjoy a picnic lunch at Cody Park, and then ended the day at the Garden Glove Greenhouse.

The sophomores are doing well testing with a program through UNL called Know Your Well that educates students on the health of our aquifer. They sampled water from two local wells on Wednesday, and we are testing the samples in class as well as official testing done by UNL.
Today was our kindergarten and 1st grade field trip to North Platte! We had a fun day touring the Buffalo Bill Ranch and spending time at Cody Park!
Mullen Elementary 3rd graders had a great field trip last week to the Calamus Fish Hatchery, town park in Burwell, and ice cream treat at the Hub. They were so excited to have Mr. Mauler along for the fun too!
Today was the annual race of the cardboard boats! Juniors in Earth Science and seniors in Standards Science were challenged with engineering a two passenger boat made of only cardboard and one role of duct tape. Three of seven boats made it across the pond with the winners, Justin French, Jarren Forsen, and Jacob Wingebach, making it in 58 seconds. Mr Kvanvig, after being unable to make it across in his boat last year, attempted the challenge again with passenger Mr Mauler. They were unsuccessful...much to the joy of the students watching.
