
The 6th graders are learning about weather. They are exploring the properties of water and how it interacts in the atmosphere to create clouds and storms.

The next regular meeting of the Mullen Board of Education will be Monday, December 9, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. in the high school library. (This meeting will be preceded by a workshop at 5:00 p.m. for purposes of conducting the evaluation of the superintendent). Upon advertisement, a draft of the agenda will be available for public inspection on the school website, the NASB Sparq website, and by request to the Superintendent’s office during regular office hours.

Another awesome job by our Elementary Students at the Christmas Concert last night. Mrs. Walker does a fantastic job of making music fun and putting on a great performance for our community.

Thank you to the 6th grade class and Mrs. Walz for making play-doh and play-doh mats for the kindergarten class! We have had so much fun with it already!







A reminder to join us tonight at the Lariat for the NHS Free-Will Donation Soup Supper from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and the One Act Public Performance at 7:00 p.m. We hope to see you there!


This past weekend was the annual service trip for the NHS students! This year they once again gave their time to the Open Door Mission. This amazing group of kids helped prepare 1000 bags that will soon be filled with sandwiches that will be distributed to those in need. Then they served as lunchtime volunteers. It was the best weekend of service and making memories!


Last week this great group attended the Sportsmanship & Leadership Summit in Alliance. During they day they listed to wonderful speakers including Rob Miller from Proactive Coaching talking about team covenants, Diane Shuck, Athletic Director at Douglas county HS, CO about building team spirit and sportsmanship, and Kevin Kush, known for teaching and coaching at Boys Town.


Last reminder: If you are going to sign up for the school's Thanksgiving lunch on November 27th you need to call the elementary office by noon on November 25th. If you call in the day of there is a high chance we will not be able to serve you! Thank you!!!

TeamMates if you are planning to eat with your mentees on Wednesday, please call the school by Monday, November 25th. We will not have to-go lunches that day, but you are welcome to eat with you mentee at the elementary lunch room!!

The Chemistry 1 students baked molasses cookies today after utilizing their knowledge of moles and dimensional analysis to convert a recipe to meaningful units. All three batches of cookies were delicious!



Although our Play Production team did not come home with a plaque, Sydnee Cheever, Mia Flores-Green, Jaylon Forsen, Tate Kvanvig, and Hope Miller were all recipients of outstanding actor awards! We are excited to use the feedback to grow and better our piece! Our next performance will be the public performance following the NHS Soup Supper on Tuesday, November 26. Then, districts in Hyannis! We hope to see you all soon!
