The Mullen Public Schools' leadership class is holding a clothing drive for The Connection Homeless Shelter. We will be receiving items until Jan 27, 2026. They are expecting a wide range of clothing, but they do need undergarments and XXL-sized clothing. Drop-off points will be located in the Ag room or at the Methodist church. Cornmeal Canyons in Science!

The 2nd Grade students created model landforms using cornmeal and then gently dripped water over them to see how water can change the shape of land. They observed how “canyons” formed and learned that real canyons are created by water erosion over long periods of time.

Radio Coverage: KBBN 95.3 will be covering the semi-final and final rounds of the tournament.

First grade is currently learning about adjectives and how to describe objects using our five senses. Today, students had the opportunity to taste, see, smell, feel, and hear a variety of items in class. While the lemons were not a favorite, the students overall had a very enjoyable and engaging experience.

Freshmen English students are exploring The Hunger Games through an interactive, novel-based simulation that brings the text to life.

Each week, students participate as tributes—racing for supplies, forming alliances, answering higher-level thinking questions to gain arena support, and navigating challenges like escaping “mutts” while blindfolded.

These experiences deepen comprehension, promote critical thinking, and help students fully immerse themselves in the world of the novel.

The Botany class enjoyed their first harvest today out of the greenhouse! These students have put in a lot of work and were excited to see it pay off. The sugar snap peas were worth the wait!
